Advent II: (grungy?) Christmas

16 Tage bis Weihnachten. – und ich stecke jetzt mitten in den Weihnachtsvorbereitungen, Geschenke Kaufen (/finden!), Heimfahrt planen und dazwischen nochmal hier jede Sekunde Weihnachts-England nutzen. Und wie ihr seht, auch Outfitmäßig geht es einen Schritt näher an Weihnachten heran.

Ok, so ganz typisch Weihnachtlich ist das mal wieder nicht, aber mir gefällt diese kleine Portion Ironie irgendwie auch. Die Ledershorts kennen wir ja bereits – ich weiß. Aber ohne sie würde hier halt auch irgendwie was fehlen. Das einzig, wirklich weihnachtliche an dem Outfit ist ja ohnehin der Pulli. Wieder mal seconhand. Ich hoffe man kann das halbwegs erkennen, aber darauf ist so dieses typische Schneeflockenmuster. Anstatt, wie meistens, Weiß ist hier Silber mit eingearbeitet, was das ganze irgendwie festlicher macht. Vielleicht trage ich auch noch eine Silberkette dazu, mal sehen. Auf das Haarband werd ich aber wohl eher verzichten, auch wenn ich ja schon irgendwie finde, dass es ganz gut ins Gesamtbild passen würde (Ok vllt. nicht für Weihnachten). Naja. Meine Freunde würden mich damit dann wahrscheinlich sofort wieder in den nächsten Flieger nach England setzen.

Ansonsten gibt es dazu glaube ich nicht so viel zu sagen. Ich habe einfach mal versucht, Weihnachtskleidung mal etwas anders zu interpretieren… Hab das Ganze aber auch so ähnlich im November schon mal getragen, nebenbei bemerkt. Einfach nur weil ich grad bock drauf hatte.

16 days left till Christmas! – And now I’m in the middle of my Christmas preparations, buying (/finding!) presents, planning my trip home and let no grass grow under my feet in Christmas-England. And as you can see, I’m getting one step closer towards Christmas with my Outfit as well.

Ok, again it’s not really typical Christmassy but I quite like this little portion of irony, too. We’ve already seen the leather shorts – I know but without them there would be something missing. The only thing that is really Christmassy about it is the jumper anyway. Second-hand, again. I hope you can see this somehow, but there is this typical ice crystal motive on it. Instead of, as usual, with, there is some silver on it, which makes it more festive somehow, I think. Maybe I’ll also wear a silver necklace with it, we’ll see. However, I think I will do it without the hair-band, even if it think it fits to the overall picture (ok maybe not at Christmas). Well. I guess my friends would put me back in the next plane, if I’d wear it.

And apart from that, there is not much left to say, I guess. I just tried to make another interpretation about Christmas clothing… I wore the same in November already, by the way. Just because I was in the mood.

Advent I: velvet meets leather

Ich glaube, ich habe mich noch nie so sehr vom Weihnachtshype mitreißen lassen, wie dieses Jahr. Schon gar nicht, bevor es überhaupt Dezember ist und Schnee gibt. Dieses Jahr ist das ganze irgendwie anders. Ich genieße es, selbst im Supermarkt pausenlos mit Weihnachtsliedern beschallt zu werden, die Werbespots im TV finde ich irgendwie süß und ich kann es kaum erwarten, Plätzchen zu backen, Weihnachtseinkäufe zu erledigen, aber vor allem natürlich eins: geliebte Menschen wieder zu sehen. Noch 23 Tage. Meine Outfit-Pläne stehen aber bereits jetzt schon! 3 Weihnachtsoutfits sind schon fast komplett geplant – das hier ist eins davon.
Für mich hat dieser dunkelgrüne Samtstoff irgendwie immer was Weihnachtliches und Schuhe und Pulli haben dann zufällig auch noch exakt dieselbe Farbe -wie geil ist das bitte?. Das Leder ist dann so der Kontrast zu dem „weichen“ Samtstoff und macht das Ganze, wie ich finde, weniger langweilig. Hier trage ich übrigens größtenteils secondhand. Die Ledershorts (oh man ich liebe die so sehr!!) sind ausm Charity-Shop, der Pulli aus nem 2nd Handgeschäft und die Tasche (-ja fake, aber trotzdem ne schöne Ledertasche!) vom Flohmarkt.
Ich glaube, das Outfit werde ich so, oder so ähnlich dann an Heiligabend tragen, denn ich finde, mit dem Samt + Gold wirkt es auch recht festlich. …und außerdem trotzdem irgendwie „ausgefallen“ genug, um von meiner Familie (Großeltern&co) dafür belächelt zu werden… aaach, wie ich das vermisst habe ;-)
Stellt euch bei den Bildern übrigens Schnee und Weihnachtsbeleuchtung anstatt grünes Gras und Herbstlaub vor, dann wirkt das ganze schon weihnachtlicher.

I think, I never built up so much enthusiasm for Christmas than this year. Especially not, before December and before it starts snowing. This year, the whole thing is different somehow. I even enjoy it to hear Christmas songs in supermarkets, adverts on TV are kind of cute and I can’t wait to bake Christmas biscuits, do my Christmas shopping but above all, of course: seeing my loved ones again. 23 days to go. However, my outfit plans are done already! 3 Christmas outfits are almost completely planned – this is one of them:
Dark green velvet has got always something Christmassy for me and incidentally, the shoes and the jumper are exactly the same colour – how cool is that?. The leather is some kind of contrast to the “soft” velvet and makes the whole thing, in my opinion, less boring. Here; I’m wearing mostly second-hand, by the way. The leather shorts (damn, I love them so much!!) are from a charity shop, the jumper’s from a second-hand shop and the bag (-jep, a fake, but a nice leather bag anyway!) from the flea market.
I think, I’m going to wear this outfit like this or slightly different on Christmas Eve because, I think, with the velvet and gold it seems pretty celebratory. …and it’s still “fancy” enough, to make my family (grandparents&co) smile at me… aaaw, how much I missed it… ;-)
Imagine snow and Christmas decorations in the pictures instead of green grass and autumn foliage, then the whole looks a little more Christmassy.

...wild and free

Auch wenn es ein bisschen spät scheint möchte ich euch dennoch eins meiner lieblings-Herbstoutfits zeigen :-) …solange es hier (noch?) nicht geschneit hat, bin ich ohnehin der Überzeugung, dass es nach wie vor Spätherbst ist.
Ich verabscheue ja prinzipiell sinnlose Printshirts, aber diejenigen, die ich für „intelligent“ genug befunden habe feier ich dafür einfach umso mehr. Und dieses Shirt von TK Maxx finde ich einfach nur mega. 1. Es sagt nicht einfach nur „wild and free“ sondern über dem „wild“ ist halt einfach dieser coole Leopard! 2. Das Design an sich, mit dem Barcode und der Schriftart find ich irgendwie besonders. 3. Jedes Mal wenn ich es anhabe, habe ich pausenlos „young, wild&free“ von Wiz Khalifa als Ohrwurm. 4. Das Motto ist einfach gut. Punkt.
Ansonsten finde ich es irgendwie erstaunlich, dass ich bei dem Outfit einfach mal wild Silber, Gold, Grau, Braun, Khaki und Schwarz zusammen werfen kann und es trotzdem gut zusammen passt. …oder vielleicht finde auch nur ich das so.
Ich hoffe, ich kann in Zukunft mehr solche Dinge posten, es macht einfach so viel Spaß :-) …New Ins werde ich dafür aber (offensichtlich^^) reduzieren. Irgendwie fand ich einmal pro Woche dann doch etwas viel. Vor Allem, weil man so shopaholic wirkt. Ich habe aber schon ein paar neue Ideen, bin mal gespannt…

Even if it’s a little late, I’d like to show you my favourite autumn-Outfit :-) … as long as it’s not snowing (yet?), I believe that it’s still late autumn anyway.
I always detest senseless print shirts, I celebrate the ones I deem as “intelligent” enough even more. And I think this shirt by TK Maxx’s just awesome. 1. It doesn’t only say “wild and free” but the “wild” is also covered by this cool leopard. 2. The design in general, with this barcode and the font is some kind of special. 3. Every time I wear it, I can’t help myself, having “young, wild& free” by Wiz Khalifa in my mind. 4. The slogan’s just good.
Apart from that, I think it’s astonishing somehow, that I can just throw silver, gold, grey, brown, khaki and black together randomly and it still fits together somehow. …or maybe I’m the only one who thinks so.
I hope, I can post some more of this stuff in the future, it’s just so much fun :-) … I will (obviously^^) reduce the New Ins instead. Once a week seemed a bit too much for me, though. Especially cause one seems so shopaholic. I also got a few new ideas, I’m excited…

Beautiful Bournemouth

7pm, Friday evening. “Hey! Got any plans for tomorrow?” – “Nah. You?” – “Shall we go to Bournemouth? I heard it should be quite nice.”
…and I entirely fell in love with this town. While you probably can’t even see the sand anymore in summer because the beach is full of people, this time of the year it was almost empty.

A typical autumn day. Music at the streets. Busy people. Empty beach. Rough sea. Grey, cloudy sky. Windy. The sound of gulls and waves. Wet sand. – Me, walking barefoot.

I see you again soon, Bournemouth.

New In: Memory box

I can’t believe one week is already over again. I actually wanted to do this week’s blogpost earlier especially as the Bournemouth-post is almost ready, but I felt terribly ill the beginning of this week. At least, I can show you something little “special” now, namely my new memory-box :-) (former wine box) …as you might know, I’m pretty into all that nostalgic stuff… 

At this point, I also want to say thank you to all these amazing people out there who helped me to fill my box with great memories xxx

Some other stuff is following soon, I promise. Hope you like my little gif animation? (I love it<3) ...I think I should do that more often.
